These air fryer apple pie bombs are crispy outside, warm and gooey inside, and easy to make with simple ingredients. They taste like mini apple pies with a cinnamon sugar finish, making them perfect for a quick dessert, cozy fall treat, or sweet snack.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 8–10 minutes
Total Time: 23–25 minutes
Servings: 8 bombs
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough, 8-count
1 cup apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Nonstick cooking spray
1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Lightly spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces so the bombs are easier to seal and less likely to leak.
3. Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each piece into a round about 4 inches wide.
4. Add about 1 tablespoon of apple filling to the center of each round.
5. Pull the edges up over the filling, pinch tightly to seal, then gently roll into a smooth ball.
6. Chill the sealed bombs for 8–10 minutes to help keep the seams closed while cooking.
7. Place the bombs seam-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
8. Brush the warm bombs with melted butter.
9. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, then roll each bomb in the mixture until well coated.
10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving, because the filling will be very hot.

Do not overfill the dough, or the seams may open during cooking.
Chopping the apple pieces smaller gives a cleaner shape and better seal.
If needed, cook in batches so the bombs have space to crisp evenly.
Serve warm for the best gooey apple pie texture.
Add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar for a warmer fall flavor.
Drizzle with a little caramel sauce before serving for a richer dessert.
Use crescent roll dough for a softer, more pastry-like version.
