Crispy cinnamon-sugar apple pie taquitos with warm apple filling and a light caramel drizzle — an easy air fryer dessert shortcut.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 7–9 minutes
Total Time: 12–14 minutes
Servings: 4
Yield: 8 apple pie taquitos
8 small flour tortillas
1 ½ cups apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
2 tablespoons melted butter
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons caramel sauce, for drizzling after cooking
Optional: extra cinnamon sugar for serving
1. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
2. Fill each tortilla with chopped apple pie filling, then roll tightly.
3. Brush with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
4. Place seam-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
5. Air fry at 375°F for 7–9 minutes, until golden and crisp.
6. Drizzle with caramel after cooking and serve warm.
Do not overfill the tortillas, or the apple filling may leak out.
Place the taquitos seam-side down so they stay closed while air frying.
Add caramel only after cooking, not inside the air fryer basket.
For extra crisp edges, leave a little space between each taquito.
Caramel Apple Taquitos: Add extra caramel drizzle after cooking.
Cream Cheese Apple Taquitos: Spread a thin layer of cream cheese inside before adding the apple filling.
Apple Pie Churro Taquitos: Toss the cooked taquitos in extra cinnamon sugar while still warm.
Pecan Apple Taquitos: Add finely chopped pecans to the filling for crunch.
