Servings: 4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 14–17 minutes
Total Time: 19–22 minutes
2 cans whole potatoes, drained and rinsed
1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan, optional
Fresh parsley for serving, optional
1. Drain and rinse the canned potatoes, then pat them very dry with paper towels.
2. Cut any larger potatoes in half and lightly crack a few with a fork for crispier edges.
3. Toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, herbs, black pepper, and salt.
4. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
5. Air fry at 400°F / 200°C for 14–17 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and lightly crisp.
6. Sprinkle with Parmesan or fresh parsley after cooking, if desired, and serve warm.
Dry the canned potatoes very well before air frying so they crisp instead of steaming.
Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if needed.
Shake the basket once or twice for more even browning.
Add Parmesan after cooking so it does not burn.
For extra crisp edges, lightly press or crack some potatoes before seasoning.
Add red pepper flakes for a spicy version.
Use ranch seasoning for a quick family-friendly flavor.
Add grated Parmesan and parsley after cooking for a garlic Parmesan finish.
Use smoked paprika for a deeper roasted flavor.
Finish with a squeeze of lemon for a brighter side dish.
