Air fryer chicken cutlets are crispy outside, juicy inside, and easy enough for a fast weeknight dinner. The breadcrumb coating turns golden without deep frying, and the chicken stays tender thanks to thin cutlets and a light oil spray.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Total Time: 25–27 minutes
Servings: 4
2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon milk
1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Olive oil spray
1. Slice each chicken breast horizontally to make 2 thinner cutlets. If needed, gently pound them to an even thickness.
2. Season the chicken on both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
3. Set up 3 bowls: one with flour, one with the eggs and milk whisked together, and one with panko, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
4. Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, then dip into the egg mixture, then press firmly into the breadcrumb mixture so the coating sticks well.
5. Lightly spray both sides of the breaded cutlets with olive oil spray.
6. Place the cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
7. Air fry at 380°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the coating is crisp and golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
8. Let the chicken rest for 2 minutes before serving so it stays juicy.
