Crispy air fryer chicken wraps with melted mozzarella and a quick, easy filling.
Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 8–10 minutes
Total Time: 18–20 minutes
4 large flour tortillas
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup marinara sauce or pizza sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped parsley, optional
1. In a bowl, mix the chicken with marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
2. Lay the tortillas flat and divide the chicken mixture between them. Top each one with shredded mozzarella.
3. Fold in the sides, then roll each tortilla tightly into a wrap.
4. Lightly brush the wraps with olive oil or spray them lightly on both sides.
5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 2–3 minutes.
6. Place the wraps seam-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
7. Air fry at 380°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
8. Let them rest for 1–2 minutes, then slice and serve with warm marinara if desired.
Do not overfill the wraps, or the cheese and sauce may leak out during cooking.
Place the wraps seam-side down first so they stay closed better in the air fryer.
A light brush of oil helps the tortillas turn golden and crisp.
Let the wraps rest briefly before cutting so the melted cheese stays inside better.
Add spinach for a chicken spinach mozzarella wrap.
Use pepper jack or cheddar instead of mozzarella for a different flavor.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicier version.
Use rotisserie chicken to make the recipe even faster.
