Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices brioche or Texas toast bread

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 pinch salt

  • Butter-flavored cooking spray or light oil spray

  • Powdered sugar, for serving

  • Maple syrup, for serving

Directions

1. Cut each slice of bread into 3 thick sticks.

2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and salt until smooth.

3. Dip each bread stick quickly into the mixture, coating all sides without soaking too long.

4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Arrange the French toast sticks in a single layer with a little space between them.

5. Air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp on the outside.

6. Serve warm with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
