Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries

Air fryer garlic parmesan fries come out crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with rich garlic-parmesan flavor. A quick soak, very thorough drying, and a little cornstarch help them turn golden instead of soggy.

Notes / Tips

  • Soaking the fries helps remove excess starch for a better texture.

  • Dry the potatoes very well or the fries may steam instead of crisp.

  • A little cornstarch helps create a crispier outside.

  • Do not overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches for the best results.

  • Toss the fries with garlic butter and parmesan while they are still hot so the coating sticks well.

Variations

  • Add a pinch of paprika for a warmer savory flavor.

  • Use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic for a milder finish.

  • Add a little red pepper flakes for heat.

  • Sprinkle with extra parmesan before serving for a cheesier finish.

  • Serve with ranch, garlic aioli, or marinara on the side.
