Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Total Time: 20–22 minutes
4 jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeded
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 green onion, sliced
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
4 strips bacon, cut in half
Oil spray, if needed
1. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
2. In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onion, and garlic powder.
3. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
4. Wrap each filled jalapeño with half a slice of bacon.
5. Place the jalapeño poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
6. Air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the filling is hot and lightly golden.
7. Let them cool for 2–3 minutes before serving.
Wear gloves if you are sensitive to jalapeños.
Do not overfill the peppers, or the cheese may spill out while cooking.
Cook in a single layer so the bacon crisps better.
If needed, secure the bacon with a toothpick before air frying.
Let the poppers rest briefly after cooking so the filling sets a little.
Extra Cheesy: Add a little pepper jack or more cheddar to the filling.
Spicier: Leave a few seeds in the jalapeños or add a pinch of cayenne.
Ranch Style: Add a small spoonful of ranch seasoning to the cheese filling.
