Ingredients

  • 16 oz whole button mushrooms or cremini mushrooms

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning mix

  • 1/3 cup finely grated parmesan cheese

  • 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing, for dipping

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish optional

Directions

1. Clean the mushrooms and pat them very dry. Trim the stems if needed.

2. In a bowl, toss the mushrooms with olive oil until lightly coated.

3. Add ranch seasoning, parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss until the mushrooms are evenly coated.

4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.

5. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.

6. Air fry for 9–11 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the mushrooms are golden, crisp on the edges, and juicy in the center.

7. Serve warm with ranch dressing and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Notes / Tips

  • Dry the mushrooms very well before coating. Extra moisture makes them steam instead of crisp.

  • Use finely grated parmesan so it sticks better to the mushrooms.

  • Cook in one layer for the best crispy edges. If needed, air fry in two batches.

  • Serve right away. These mushrooms taste best hot and crisp from the air fryer.

Variations

  • Spicy Ranch Mushrooms: Add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.

  • Garlic Parmesan Ranch Mushrooms: Add an extra 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and more parmesan after cooking.

  • Extra Crispy Mushrooms: Add 1 tablespoon extra panko breadcrumbs and press the coating gently onto the mushrooms before air frying.
