Crispy air fryer rice paper chips made in 5 minutes with simple seasoning. Light, crunchy, and perfect for a quick snack or easy appetizer.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 4–6 minutes
Total Time: 9–11 minutes
Servings: 4 servings
8 rice paper sheets
1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: pinch of chili flakes
1. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
2. Lightly brush or spray both sides of the rice paper sheets with oil.
3. Stack 2 sheets at a time and cut them into triangles.
4. Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
5. Place the pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
6. Air fry for 4–6 minutes, or until blistered, crisp, and lightly golden. Watch closely near the end.
7. Let the chips cool for 1–2 minutes, then serve.
Use a light hand with seasoning so the chips stay dry and crisp.
Do not stack too many pieces in the basket, or they may cook unevenly.
Check early, because rice paper can brown very fast.
The chips get even crispier as they cool slightly.
Add a little grated Parmesan after cooking for a savory finish.
Use chili lime seasoning for a brighter spicy flavor.
Try ranch seasoning for an easy snack version.
Serve with salsa, hummus, or spicy mayo.
