This air fryer tortilla pizza gets thin, crispy, and melty in just minutes. The simple trick is to pre-crisp the tortilla first and use a light cheese layer under the sauce to help prevent a soggy middle.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5–6 minutes
Total Time: 10–11 minutes
Servings: 1
Temperature: 400°F
1 flour tortilla
2 tablespoons pizza sauce
1/2 to 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
8–10 pepperoni slices
1 teaspoon olive oil or cooking spray, optional
1 pinch dried oregano
1 pinch garlic powder, optional
1 pinch red pepper flakes, optional
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
2. Place the tortilla in the basket and air fry for 1 minute to lightly crisp the base.
3. Sprinkle a very light layer of mozzarella over the tortilla first. This helps create a barrier so the sauce does not soak into the middle.
4. Spread the pizza sauce thinly over the top, leaving a small border around the edge.
5. Add the remaining mozzarella in an even layer.
6. Top with pepperoni slices.
7. Air fry at 400°F for 4–5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are browned and crisp.
8. Sprinkle with oregano, let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve.
Do not overload the tortilla with sauce or too many toppings.
Pre-crisping the tortilla is the easiest way to improve texture.
A cheese-first layer helps keep the center from turning soft.
Check at 4 minutes, since some air fryers brown fast.
For extra cheese pull, add a little extra mozzarella in the final minute.
Use turkey pepperoni or cooked sausage.
Add black olives or sliced bell peppers in a very light amount.
Make it cheese-only for a super simple snack version.
Sprinkle with parmesan after cooking.
Add basil after air frying for a fresher finish.
