Directions

1. Pat the shrimp very dry with paper towels so the edges brown better in the air fryer.

2. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.

4. Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.

5. Air fry for 4 minutes, shake or flip, then cook for another 4–6 minutes, until the shrimp are pink, curled, and lightly browned on the edges.

6. Mix the melted butter with minced garlic and lemon juice.

7. Toss the hot shrimp with the garlic butter mixture after cooking.

8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes / Tips

  • Pat the shrimp dry before seasoning. Wet shrimp will steam instead of crisp.

  • Cook in a single layer so the shrimp get browned edges.

  • Add the garlic butter after air frying so the shrimp stay glossy but not greasy.

  • Watch the last 2 minutes closely because shrimp can overcook quickly.

Variations

  • Add red pepper flakes for spicy garlic butter shrimp.

  • Add grated parmesan after cooking for a garlic parmesan shrimp version.

  • Serve over rice, pasta, tacos, salad, or roasted vegetables.

  • Add a squeeze of lemon before serving for a brighter flavor.
