Spam in air fryer is crispy outside, juicy inside, and incredibly easy to make in minutes. This quick recipe gives you golden browned edges, the best time and temperature, and a simple way to cook Spam for lunch, dinner, or musubi.
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 8–10 minutes
Total Time: 10–12 minutes
Servings: 4
1 can (12 oz / 340 g) Spam
Light oil spray, optional
Freshly ground black pepper, optional
1. Slice the Spam into 8 even slices.
2. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F if your model cooks more evenly after preheating.
3. Arrange the slices in a single layer in the basket.
4. Air fry for 4–5 minutes, flip, then cook for 3–5 more minutes until golden and crisp at the edges.
5. Serve hot as-is, in sandwiches, or for musubi.
Thinner slices get crispier faster, while thicker slices stay a little juicier.
Spam releases its own fat, so extra oil usually is not necessary.
Do not overcrowd the basket or the slices will brown less evenly.
Brush lightly with teriyaki sauce during the last 1–2 minutes for a sweet-savory glaze.
Sprinkle with black pepper, garlic powder, or chili flakes after cooking for extra flavor.
Cut into sticks or cubes instead of slices for snack plates, rice bowls, or quick meals.
